Default Will this clutch work?

I have the adapter and stock clutch on my clone. Will a 94c Duster for a tapered shaft from a Yamaha 292 work for me?

If it has the correct 30mm taper then yes. Beware, the 94c clutch is tune-able and you WILL have to tune it for your setup. A variety of springs and pucks may be needed to get it just right, along with extra time to set it up several times and try it out. It won't be as smooth as your stock clutch.

Will I gain any top speed with a Comet over stock clutch?

Top speed shouldn't be affected either way that much. It depends on the diameter of your current clutch vs. the new. The last time I tried to calculate the difference between a 8" clutch and a 9" clutch, the speed wasn't really that much different. Shouldn't be a reason to make the decision.

What you will get with a 780 is smooth engagement and rapid shift. Great for big block swaps. Love the clutch and I wish I had installed it sooner. Get a new crank from Vegas Carts and you'll get more stroke.

How hard is it to install that new crank from VC? I think that plus the new clutch would be pretty good!

Would there be any way to make my stock clutch shift a little earlier? That's all I'm looking for really! Is there a spring I could shorten?

Not really any adjustment with most stock clutches. The clone engines are easy to work on, IMO. however if you have never worked on engines....might be an adventure?

If you put the stroker crank with the billet rod in you will have to clearance the crankcase, cam shaft, and balancer shaft. The advantage to the stroker isn't the extra displacement but the increased squish for compression. If you buy the cam from VC it is already clearanced. But I wonder at this point if you would be better off spending the $139 for the much stronger and clearanced 10 bolt cases.
