Default 84 Club Car with VC 460 BLACK BOX RELOCATION

Just installed my 460. I had to remove the black box completely in order for the VC air breather to fit. Should I reroute the air breather or move the black box? Honestly moving the breather seems easier. In a hurry to get to riding so I thought I'd save some time and ask here

Figured I should clarify it is the black box with my throttle linkage and micro switches, not the factory air box.

Yeah... the electrical components box is a PIA!
Your going to want to change the intake, relocating the ECB won't be that easy!
Here's a thread that may give you an idea of how to resolve that!

Yeah... I'm not exactly sure the B&S will fit, BUT, at least you get the idea!

I don't know the clone carb measurements, but, for the heck of it,
I'll give you the mounting measurements of the B&S intake...

1 3/16" opening,
1 13/16" stud center to center

I'll have to check the measurements, for some reason I thought yours was a clone. I think the excitement of finding a fix got to me

No... I'm still running my stock FE350, and happy with it!
I just wanted to chime in to give you an idea!

Not even close. Studs center to center are 2 3/16", opening is 1 1/4". After looking at it again I think the simplest answer is to drop my box below the intake. I believe the linkage for the throttle has enough play to allow that and still function. I may just have to fab something up if it doesn't.
