Lifan factory quality gaffe.....
Hi guys new to the forum... just wanted to see if anyone else has run across a valve seal issue with their new lifan 15hp. I'm repowering my Marathon cart and when I was changing out the head, valves and Springs I noticed that my intake was missing the seal and spring seat. Not a big deal to me as I was upgrading my head and components anyways, but if someone didn't intend on upgrading there would have been issues.....
Just wanted to put it out there so if anyone had a smoking issue outta the gate. I've enjoyed the forum and have been reading and taking tips where I can get them. Lots of knowledge here... |

Re: Lifan factory quality gaffe.....
Only one valve had the seat, the seal, the button on the valve and its retainer, that is the way they come. I bought them from Vegas or NR to put on both, but I did not put the seal in iirc its only on the intake because the exhaust burns it or something like that I forget. It works fine with 1.3 rockers and HD springs, no oil usage. This is a lifan from home depot online, but with the old ignition. Ran it tonight actually. You can get that stuff cheap or free because everyone tosses them for upgrades.
