Default Wiring help on Duromax 18hp

Has anyone wired a duromax 18hp (440cc)engine in an EZ-GO? I have been trying to figure out the wiring for this cart for over a month and I'm not making much progress. The wiring came in a box with all the original components. I did find out the engine has a charging coil. Of course, I found this after I fabbed a mount for the starter/generator.

Can someone tell me how to wire the charging coil to charge the battery and also allow me to run lights and a stereo? Either by using the charging coil or the starter/generator. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

If it only has the 3 amp charge coil it will not be near enough for what you need. Keep on with the S/G mount.

Raydhd...the company I bought the engine from said the 18hp Duromax has an 18amp charging coil. I can't find a wiring diagram for the engine starting system and I don't know how to wire the new engine with the S/G minus all the stuff I don't need like the ignitor.

I was not aware that any of the clones besides the lifans had the 18 amp coil. Sho 305 has a lifan in a yamaha. Hopefully he will chime in here. But bear in mind the clone needs nothing from the cart but a fuel supply and a way to shut it off.So if you use the S/G you really don't have to do any rewiring besides a kill switch.I ran my yamaha clone around for over a year with the unhooked ignitor until taking it out recently and selling it on ebay. One other point to consider here is the clone starters fail under the load of a higher compression ratio. This would only be a factor if you are planing milling the head or a stroke modification with a billet rod.
