Default 4 wheel drive golf cart?

I have inherited a 2003 Honda Foreman Rubicon four wheeler for next to nothing. I got it running and was happy as hell. Untill I put it in gear and it grinds and barely moves. Long story short to repair it myself the parts are 1200 bucks. Although I believe its worth the money I cant justify the cost for how much I would use it. I was wondering if any of you craftsman have any projects like a 4 wheel drive golf cart. The four wheel stuff is perfect. I found from my research its a common problem and the " Hondamatic transmission " is shot. I will take just about any offer. It runs great and its a 500cc motor!

If I was doing a off road cart currently I wouldn't mind grabbing this up

My uncle works on these and can get the parts to repair it

Those pre 05+ Hondamatic transmissions were notorious for going out. Like you said generally the only way to fix it is to replace the Hondamatic unit which is very pricey. Good luck with your sale.
