Angry problems with wiring

Just purchased a clone honda with electric start from monster scooter. It came with no instructions on how to hook it up. Called monster scooter and they were no help at all. Suggested trying the internet. lol. So that's why i'm here looking for help. The starter switch has four wires and the engine only has two ???????

What kind of switch is it? Is the the factory key switch in your cart? What kind of cart? Is the key switch 2 position- off-on or 3 position- off-on-start?

With out seeing the wiring I would guess the 2 wires coming from the engine would be the kill wire and the trigger wire for the solenoid. The other 2 wires would be a 12 volt feed to the key and the last would be a ground for the kill wire to the coil.

What Shepard is correct, on pair should ground the ignition coil in the off position the other pair should supply 12v to the solenoid when the key switch is on.

what are the 4 terminals labeled on the back of the key switch you have? there should be numbers or letters, please post those. yes you will need a starter solenoid. also verify your switch is off-on-start and not just and off-on, could also be acc-off-on-start like a car.
