420 clone gas tank options
What all do I need to run my factory gas tank? Do I have to have the top plate to run a pulse pump without the predator tank

Re: 420 clone gas tank options
What you need is the isolater (Vegas carts) also you will need the tuned carb(it has a idle mixture screw)
Depending on the output of the vacuum from the engine you may need to add a return line I kept having issues with the pulse pump in my club car ds so I installed a electric pump |

Re: 420 clone gas tank options
a lot of people have trouble with the pulse
fitting from vc. drill and tap a hole in the valve cover, and screw in a fitting and hook your pulse line to it. there is a thread on here somewhere about how to do this. |

Re: 420 clone gas tank options
I am old enough to have seen several generations of technology. I've seen and experienced the problems that come with each. If your doing a new build --- I would go straight up with the electric fuel pump. The only issue in a cart is the over flowing the carb -- and that is fixed by adding a return line. As long as you have electric and fuel in the tank you should have fuel to the carb. Don't set yourself up to be chasing your tail searching out vacuum issues -- its so old school. Also its easier on your starter -- reason being an electric pump is instant and the pulse pump requires the engine to turn over several times to start working.

Re: 420 clone gas tank options
Here's what I use. You may have to run a bypass line but I can say it works great.

Re: 420 clone gas tank options
I use that same pump on my club car build and I had to use a return line(otherwise it works great)
You can wire it up to the output side of the starter/generator solinoid so it kicks on when the engine is running |
