S/G no wobble pulley
Today I received the steel no wobble replacement for the Vegascarts billet aluminum unit.As you can see it is not that at all.Needless to say this was disappointing as well as the suppliers reply to my private email.

Re: S/G no wobble pulley
I dont understand, was the vegas unit not good? That is a standard pulley for an air compressor or something. People have used them, they cut the center hub down thinner to fit. Tractor supply was supposed to carry them.

Re: S/G no wobble pulley
Ray I pie cut the thick part to the depth I needed and cut along the edge with a angle grinder
Then took a chisel and broke out the pieces When I was done the size was the same depth of the vc pully I also sent on with my brother to machine down to match the vc pully |

Re: S/G no wobble pulley
I am still using the original cast pulley from VC from 2014.And it has held up so far. Then picked up VC billet pulley from teknaspace. Then I see what I thought was represented here as a BOLT ON steel replacement pulley well I will get one of those just in case. So at the moment I have $50 paper weight. All I can say is lesson learned.

Re: S/G no wobble pulley
50$ ? I only paid 20 from some supply store
I think it would work as is but not in a tight cart like an early Yamaha |

Re: S/G no wobble pulley
Yes, you can fit that hog on some carts and still get the clutch on. In a G2/9 you wont have room or have to discard the recoil or fuel tank to fit that setup. My clutch is on to the shoulder of the crank and just get my fingers between the recoil and gas tank. I put a ezgo 94c clutch on it has the taper deeper into the clutch than stock G9 and it gave me about half inch more room. I had to redrill all my mount holes. Though both these taper clutches have the pulley in them.
A machine shop should be able to cut that down easy enough. |

Re: S/G no wobble pulley
If I wanted a machine shop project I would have gone to tractor supply. No I am going to keep it here right next to my computer as a $50 paper weight so I will always remember who to order parts from and who NOT.
