Default Bolt size for Hyundai clutch

I am doing a clone install on my Hyundai gas cart and need to know what size threads are on the original clutch so I can pull it off of the new motor. I already have the new motor and tapered adapter but don't want to buy a puller to remove this clutch one time. I am going to do the bolt/Teflon tape and water trick to remove it. I believe it is a 9/16 18 but am not sure.

Thanks in advance.

You might measure it with calipers, I have done it before. Measure lots of threads then divide it out per thread. My yamaha used a US thread in the clutch bolt so hard to say if its metric or not. Some spark plugs are 14mm thread iirc, or some odd size some pullers use. Likely you can look up the size of the thread on the net someplace far as measuring it.

Thanks for the input, I think I figured it out. Looks like it ended up being a 5/8 11. Threads right in, going to try popping the clutch off this evening so I can mark and cut the shaft on the new 420 I am putting in.

How much crankshaft did you trim off? I'm doing a Hyundai also. Ive got my tapered adapter from Vegas Carts but they wouldn't shed any light on anything else. Maybe I didn't spend enough money.

I haven't gotten to that point yet. I am in the middle of finishing up the restoration on my big block chevelle so the cart is on the back burner at the moment. I just saw your thread and was going to ask you the same question.. lol

Just started on the motor strip and getting ready to do the clutch/engine alignment next. Its a slow go because of severe back pain. My build is on another thread on BGW
