Default Help with Solid Axle

Hey there, I have a 1993 EZGO marathon with a busted electric engine that won't come off the input shaft on the axle, so I want to put a Solid axle in it in order for me to install and use my Honda clone to power it. Does anybody know any stores or online shops or services that I can purchase parts for a solid axle? Any tips or pointers? What do I do about the Suspension and brakes? Sorry if this is the wrong place to add this thread, I'm a tad bit new to this forum.

Have you used plenty of penetrating oil on the rusted shaft? I used some PB Blaster for the first time today and it worked very well. I had a stuck tie rod end on a JD garden tractor that was really stuck. Let the PB soak for about 5 mins and then rapped on the tie rod end with a hammer with a sledge hammer head under the tie rod end to work as an anvil. Rod end came right off then. I was actually surprised !!

Some of the gokart places have axles reasonable. There are pros and cons, you can't turn sharp that well with a solid axle. Sure they are better offroad and for lots of power or mud and snow, but driving on hard pack they are a pain. I know a guy with an utv with one and he hates it. It tears up his yard even. Anther issue is what really makes a golf cart work is the CVT, they don't work well without or some kind of transmission. Even most utv have gone to cvt they work so well, light weight, reliable. So many find a golf cart gas rear or with cradle and put the whole thing into a cart. Some rears you can get a posi unit some you can't.

Acetone and Transmission fluid is the best and the cheapest. I have taken out broken bolts from the exhaust manifolds in my boat with my fingers using it, it works.

Agree. That stuff is amazing. I've read that that stuff can get into spaces as small as a millionth of an inch!
