Default Sprocket for 1993 EZGO

Alright, so I just removed the electric motor from my 1993 EZGO Marathon, and the next step is to get a sprocket for the input shaft on the electric axle. My questions are, What sprocket do I need (I know I'll have to weld it on), and what combination should I use (e.g. 10 tooth on Gas engine clutch and 10 tooth on axle sprocket)? Any information, or links to sprockets that will fit would be greatly appreciated. I'm installing a 9hp Honda clone in my cart.

A 10 tooth on both shafts will make it a 1:1 ratio, which probably wont get you about 14-16 mph, you need the smallest you can fit on the axle shaft for higher gearing. here's some good info

Most stock gas carts have a 11:1 ratio in high gear. By high gear I mean the CVT is shifted all the way to high gear at top speed. Many run 13:1 ratio trans with a 0.9:1 ratio overdrive in the CVT that makes about 11 total. That gives around 20mph stock no governor, around 30mph stock no governor with 22-23 tires. More if you have a modded engine that revs more, my clone will do 38gps so far on 22s though I never run it like that in normal use. Most CVT run a low ratio of around 3:1 for takeoff, use that with your 11:1 trans for the lowest gear ratio, plus your tire diameter of course.
