Smile VC Low profile air cleaner

I have a 93 marathon with the VC460 kit installed. Has anyone used this air cleaner on this cart with the 460? Just wanted to know if it will clear the frame.

One of my clones came with one similar to that, not sure it is the same or not. Anyway it had a foam sheet in it for a filter. I ride 99% on dirt/gravel/sand/lawn/wooded areas and if I wanted the engine to last more than a year, I could not run that filter. I ended up finding a cavilier airbox that had a 2" hole in the bottom. Installed it and ran pvc pipe to under the front body to avoid the dust under the cart that covers the motor in 15min of riding, and get some cooler air as well. It has worked out great, the airbox was $10 in the boneyard plus assorted pvc fittings. But it took a while to fabricate it all up. Mostly because the airbox is the opposite corner of the engine area from the carb.

Initially I ran the hurricane style filter (honda copy the filter is above the carb). I took the filter off and wedged a piece of plastic sink drain pipe into the top tube. That made it strong enough to clamp a hose on it (part of a radiator hose I picked out a autozone with a 90 degree bend). Then to pvc and to my airbox via another rubber bellowed car hose that may have been the one that came with the airbox. Now I put a new CV carb on and took all that off. Others have used remote filters for tractors and other equipment. It might be in my build thread, took a while to figure all that out.
