Liflan engine question
I am considering getting a 389 or 420 Lifan engine for my Club Car. Do these engines use a counterbalance/weight like the Kawasakis do?
Thanks |

Re: Liflan engine question
They have a balance shaft much like the yamahas use.

Re: Liflan engine question
I just wanted to make sure they were nice and smooth running. The utility/lawn/garden engine in the cart now vibrates a lot and it gets annoying after a while.

I don't want to mislead you balance shaft or not they vibrate more than a stocker.

Re: Liflan engine question
You might want to look at the new vegascarts anti-vibration mounts for the club car.

Re: Liflan engine question
Thanks for the information. I think I will just get one and run it on the bench and compare it to what I have and a stock engine before I do anything else.

Re: Liflan engine question
Larger singles shake more, go to a v twin that would help. I run the stock G9 mounts and mine is smooth as stock with a 420. The only time I can feel vibration is when I run it up in neutral and the belt spins I feel it. And my clutches have all been replaced in the last few years so not sure what it is that does that, clutch or engine, maybe the belt for all I know. On the trail or road I don't feel a thing. Problem is many swaps tell you to take the stock mounts out.

Thanks for all the feedback and help.
With 25 hour oil changes, what is the typical lifespan of the clone engines? What part(s) typically fail first? |

Re: Liflan engine question
One of the cheap clone makers claim 500 hours.
