GX390 Club Car swap Motor Mount
I know VegasCarts sells kits for the big block swaps. I am curious on the motor mount though. What is the purpose of the raised motor mount? I also see posts were people are fabbing their own, with the raised mounts. May be a dumb question and I have net yet tried to put my new motor in the cart yet, but I was wondering why I cannot modify the existing plate and the normal height?
Also, if anyone has any simple fabricating methods please share. Thanks! |

Boy it's been awhile since I did mine. IIRC it's because the cylinder hits on the rear end so in order to use a common length belt, you need to raise the engine and move it towards the rear of the cart.

Yes, I use the stock mounting plate with unitstrut bolted in then the top the motor can slide around to adjust it. I am using stock length club car belt. There was also interference with the carb/ air filter and the electric control box without raising it.. Mine is a 91 club car ds with predator 420cc
