Hand Adjust Low Speed Needle
I find it a pain in the butt to get a screwdriver into this little screw when the engine is running. I've always had hand adjustable screws on my Harley and you could adjust it with no tools. S&S Super E carbs are pretty cool.
I decided to make a hand adjustable Low Speed screw for the VC460. It was pretty simple, drilled a 1/16" hole into the end of a new Idle screw. I'm glad my lathe would grab onto something that small. Pushed a allen wrench in the hole and I'll solder it in position. Its long right now and I need to find a junk allen wrench to cut down. Anyone interested in one? I have 2 I bought to experiment with and there turning out great. |

Re: Hand Adjust Low Speed Needle
I hope all that extra weight on the carb threads don't hurt anything with the vibration of clone engine.
