Stock valve cover? Has it been bent in the past?

I had a lot of trouble with the stock cover sealing. I switched over to the small townspeeds cast "aussiespeed" unit and have been leak free ever since.

I bought the Aussie Speed Valve cover also. I noticed that the new heads are relief cut where the valve cover sits. After I fitted the cover gasket I didn't have the notch the valve cover for it to draw down tight. I haven't had any issues with the original. Are you using the crankcase to pulse the fuel pump? Are you sure its not being blown out? I've seen where too much crankcase pressure will blow out gaskets - seals and make oil leaks that normally wouldn't be there. Did you ever get your fuel pump problem sorted out.

I don't have any issue with the stock cover. I just hooked up the vent in it to my airbox since I changed the carb to a CV and the stock stuff is all gone. I ran a pipe tap in the hole and put a brass fitting in it. It also has a fitting in the other side to the lower part open to the engine and that is my pulse. The gasket is a thick o-ring type thing, it would take a lot to not seal, and the head surface is cut smooth. My cover still has the stock blowby valve thing in it.

That is the cover sitting on my airbox, can see the fitting in the airbox. Front of engine you can see the hose to airbox and blue lines on the left to fuel tank are fuel and pulse lines. Its a little messy because I had just got the carb and intake setup in there. I'm pulling the motor now for internal enhancements will try to clean it up. Yeah, I really want to put more hose clamps on it.

Stock cover, has breatherport but blows out gasket from other side of valve cover. Pulse for fuel pump is coming from carb isolator. Still having problems with fuel supply also.

Crankcase breather is hooked to valve cover, it's a 5-6" piece of hose with and open element filter. No oil comes through that just dumps out between the valve cover and gasket

Matt; is it possible to post a few pictures so we could see whats up? I know its hard to get the valve cover on straight when your standing on your head down in the frame. Maybe we all might see something your not.
On your pulse pump -- what size hose delivers the pulse. The pulse is so small that if the line is to large or gets really soft after it runs and gets warm -- it will stop pumping.
