Default Broken/Missing Parts in my Vegas 460

I did the 20 minute break in period, and I went to set the valves. I took off the valve cover and noticed that a bolt is missing and a metal piece was in the corner. I am unsure of what to do now. Any help would be appreciated.

Reference attached picture.

Thanks
Josh

The big question is where is the rocker arm nut?
Did it go into the case? That's not good...
If it is in the lower case it might just sit there and not be picked up and slung.
It may have not been installed during assembly.
I am surprised it ran at all.

What you have is the lifter that goes on the backside of the rocker.

Something was not assembled right...

That is the end of the rocker arm shaft. The nut couldn't make it to the bottom end, it's to large to pass the drain in the bottom of the push rod pocket. The nut is somewhere up top, check down around the push rods. The nut was there at some time, there's marks or wear where the nut contacted the top assembly.

Good to know. I don't know these engines but that was a wise design.
