Mine was glued in.
Have you contacted them? I have found their customer service to be exceptional. |

Re: isolator block junk
My pulse fitting nipple also appears to be glued in. I would recommend giving VC a call. I have always found Aaron @VC very patient helpful and knowledgeable. If it has been a questionable part a replacement was immediately sent foc. If it was just an issue I was having he took the time to help work to a solution. I have dealt with many companies that won't do that.

Re: isolator block junk
Did you pull it out with your fingers or did you have a piece of hose on it and you pulled out the brass tube trying to get the hose off? Mine was glued in also.

Re: isolator block junk
Just get some epoxy and glue it in is my recommendation. I got a real honda one and it was the same thing. People drill the stock one and epoxy piece of brake line in to make their own. The smallest barb fitting I know of is 1/8npt that is like 3/8 diameter roughly, pretty huge to put in there. Not sure how the phenolic or whatever material that is would hold threads either.

Re: isolator block junk
I put this together over the weekend.
I was dealing with three different sized nipple fittings - fuel pump, carb and VC isolator. I tried to find what I needed at the local auto stores and HD. The threaded ends on all the barbed fittings I could find were so large that I was afraid I would be left with so little plastic that it would crack. Especially with the pipe taper. I took double ended barb fitting and threaded one end and then tapped the block. I used a regular tap/die and not a pipe taper, so I didn't have to worry about splitting the plastic. |
