92mmx69mm is the bore/stroke of a VC460.
90x66 is a typical 420cc 88x64 is a GX390 honda 96x86.5, larger bore and a huge stroke in comparison. |

Re: Look at what Vegas Carts has in store for us in the near future
long stoke means gobs of low end torque.
I 'd love to put one of these in place of my 460. I'm sure I could use the mount that came with the 460 kit too. How does this engine with 160 more CC over the 460 just be considered a 23 hp. Maybe its the RPM difference or something. At any rate with the oil pump and the cooling tin I like this engine and can hardly wait to see what the engine alone will be priced at. ETA: that would be a 3-25/32" bore with a 3-13/32" stroke. Thats big numbers |

Re: Look at what Vegas Carts has in store for us in the near future
That's real close to what's call a Square Bore engine. Years back in the biker world a company designed a v-twin based on all internal Chevy parts. Block and heads - camshaft and crankshaft --- the rest was Chevy -- pistons - rods - valve train - timing chain gears - all American fasteners. Sucks they ran out of investment capital. It's great Vegas was able to design an engine like this. Development and delivery cost big money when your trying to do something from scratch. They have listened to all the ideas we have been coming up with. Great job Vegas Carts.

Re: Look at what Vegas Carts has in store for us in the near future
Likely has similar HP to the 460 because its lower rpm than 460, but has more torque. It seems similar to HP and size of larger twins. Not sure how smooth it will be the 460 is not exactly a small single. It might be heavier, the old iron kohlers didn't vibrate but they were not light. But I spy an alum block so it shouldn't be heavy.

I wonder if it has a balanced crankshaft or a balance shaft ? I also wonder where the block/head assembly comes from. They might be making some of the internals but I doubt they are casting blocks and heads.

Re: Look at what Vegas Carts has in store for us in the near future
They found it someplace lol. Maybe a pump engine or something, or is used in other parts of the world where twins would be too expensive...or something like that. I really doubt they tooled up a new engine just for them, but who knows. Its really expensive to tool up something like that special. Might just be someone at Vegas is special, really special skills at finding cool things!

Geoff Perhaps. The 10 bolt block, champion rocker arms,24 mm carb. I am guessing also the source is something industrial. Note the valve cover looks like a cross between the 212 clone and the 670 vtwin.

I don't like where the oil dipstick is. If it pops out while your riding around and don't notice, you could loose a lot of oil.
