Default 198? club car predator 212

Finally wrapping up my electric to gas golf cart swap. did the predator 212 with an ebay torque convertor, 10t to 72t sprocket, go cart style swing arm, made a custom exhaust, ebay air filter, 1 inch live axle, made a custom gas tank. still need to wrap the exhaust, get the autolite plug, and wrap up some cosmetics but should have it going this weekend. and if the calculator is correct it will do 25 with those sprockets on the stock 18" wheels. so far everything is bolt on, no welding or cutting was necessary

When I did this I had to use the rear diff as I run pavement a lot (when I still had that cart) going live axle probably saved a lot of headache.

Did you get it out and running for a test run? What speeds did you get?

On my marathon the calculator said I'd get 24 IIRC and I ended up with 23 on fully inflated tires and 2 men in the cart. 20.5 on half inflated tires that I did the first run with...

Interested to see how your cart works out. Also would like more pics of the swingarm area if you've got them.

Sounds cool. Can you post some pics of the axle and sprockets. Where did you get the parts

i can get some tonight. parts were leftovers from my work. the axle is just 1" solid steel rod i machined the keyways into. sprocket is a 54t also from my work. but mcmaster or any go kart supply company sells them fairly cheap. i only have maybe $200 into the whole project so far

ONLY $200! Holy cow, you got a really good deal on the parts! Just the motor and TAV2 normally run around $230. Nevermind the rest of the build and the incidentals!

Lookin great for a $200 cart. Should be a fun ride when you are done.

the motor was $100 on sale, i got the torque converter on ebay for $56, we'll see how it holds up.. and the air filter was about $30. most all the parts were from my work that they were scrapping so i scooped them up in a heartbeat. lift is now on and im working on fitting the front cowl and roof so this weekend should be the maiden voyage

Here is the lift and front cowl spacer. buying an a arm kit or spindle kit was out of the question due to budget. since this is after all a budget build
