Default Throttle cable connection in fuse box

Here is what I did to get the throttle to not be so 'touchy.' I drilled a new hole and relocated the connecting point on the lever in the fuse box so that when I press on the gas pedal it only has enough travel in the cable to go from engine idle to WOT

Here is a picture of what it looks like in my fuse box

This way the gas pedal feels exactly like the one in a regular automobile.

If I had connected the throttle cable to the original connecting point on the arm in the fuse box I would have had at most 3/4 inch of gas pedal movement to go from idle to wide open. Way too touchy for this old man or for my 10 year old grand daughter when she drives the cart.

That's pretty ingenious David. The solution for an EZGO will have to come at the engine throttle lever location. The EZGO throttle (in an older TXT) has a roller cam under the floorboard to pull the cable then runs completely to the throttle lever. It will take lengthening the engine lever and moving the cable attachment point further away from the pivot point. Or devise a mechanical linkage to create a longer throw like tireguy did on his 99 TXT.

There's a whole 'nother world outside the Maner Compound! You mental giants can get too focused on the task at hand sometimes and forget how us simple folk live. LOL
