Default VC625 Carb Studs

I could use a little help from someone who has added a filter adapter to their Vegas 625 or currently has their 625 carb off. I need to know the length of the stock VC625 carb studs. I am removing the stock airbox and adding a velocity stack/filter adapter to mine. I ordered the long 132 mm studs from VC but they are obviously way too long without even removing anything on my engine.

All I need is about 1/2" to 3/4" longer than stock. The 328VS is not like many adapters that require an inch or so longer studs. You can see by the picture the nuts are recessed into the adapter quite a ways. The stock studs are just shy of allowing the tubular nuts to start a thread.

I can get studs from 106mm to 132 mm but it looks like somewhere around 113mm would be great. I would like to confirm without removing the airbox again and letting my cart sit idle while I wait for the studs to arrive.

Thanks in advance if you can help.

I have the 106 mm on my 460 with the 625 carb. I still had to cut them down further BUT I am using the VC billet intake manifold as my K&N filter adapter. Pics on page 13 in my Vc460 build thread.

If push comes to shove I guess I could always cut and rethread the long studs I have from VC.

Rooster
I just saw this. I am setting up a EFI on my 625 G2 so I have the studs out. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks roadtech. It looks like your stock studs are about 4.25" long. That helps. I think I saw some that were about 4.5" long at one of the hi-perf kart vendors. That should give me enough to work with.

That efi looks cool. Can't wait to hear about your results.

Found some genuine Honda studs 123mm long. That is right at .50" longer. Should do the trick.
