Default Bombardier build has begun

This is Vanessa, my 5 year old granddaughter. She has no fear. She will fall in and help me whenever she can. Here she is replacing the struts on a mustang.

Recently acquired a bombardier NEV the was sitting in the weeds for about 7 years. After checking the motor out, the windings were corroded off, I started the conversion to gas. I promise I've uploaded pictures before, I don't know why they are 90* off.

Decided to reuse the armature shaft and motor housing with bearing for the attachment to the rear axle. Here's the pile of armature winding separators that come off the shaft, I don't know what glue is on this but a 20 ton press didn't phase it. I had to separate each one individually to break the glue and then they slid right off. 2 hours later that is.

Now the question of the day,
Original gear ratio with the 72 volt motor was 8:1
The largest sprocket that will fit inside the old motor housing has to be less than 5 1/2" diameter. Found a 20 tooth sprocket 5 3/8" diameter. The torque converter starts off with a 10 tooth sprocket. Should I go 10 tooth across the jackshaft and to the reverse gearbox. Or can I change the gear ratio on any sprocket?

Amazing what a bottle of purple power and a pressure washer can do. The paint is oxidized but a buffer should be able to get it done.
