Default 390 swap in a Yamaha g2 pointers

I have just come up with a Yamaha G2 and a 390 Honda motor off a generator. I only have about two weeks to get this done. I've spent the last 4 or 5 hours reading and I don't know if I know any more than I did before. The number one thing I need to figure out right now is what Clutch and belt to use. I do not have the stock clutch. If there is a cheap Chinese clutch I could use that would be fine with me because there's a good possibility that whatever I do I will end up changing or modifying it. I will be using this at engine shows so basically just to ride it around the fairgrounds. I'm going to make it key start, HD valve springs and delete the governor. I have the means and ability to make just about anything I just need some pointers to get started. You guys have a great site

I tried to send you a PM but couldn't. If you are interested in buying a used clutch (with some new parts) I may have something you would be interested in.

A buddy of mine might have a couple used stock clutches if that's what I need?

It is a 780 chinese clutch with a new OEM moveable sheave installed. Yellow springs and 106 gram weights. As long as the output shaft of your 390 hasnt been modified, it will slide right on.

I think a generator engine will have a tapered shaft, not a 1" straight shaft.
