I used to work on projects like this --- I was one of 3 people in our shop with enough tooling to work on engines of this size. This engine goes in a 50 ton Haul Pac or Terex -- a green version of the yellow Tonka quarry truck

OK - I've found a site I can order a complete 420 hemi head - also the valve cover gasket. I have looked all over for a valve cover and there isn't one I can find. Any help finding one PM me. I'm waiting for you to confirm your push rod length. I've found a company that makes push rods to length 6" - 11" @ every .025. If they don't cost an arm and a leg I'll try a pair of the 5/16" push rods.

I called Paul from Youtube's Paul's Karts and talked to him for a few minutes about putting the 420 hemi head on a 460. He said he saw no reason you couldn't -- just have to clearance the valves

What are you going to use as a piston ? The flat top VC 460 and cut in valve reliefs ? I have never seen a forged flat top for the 92 mm bore. I subscribed to Paul way back. He really puts what he does out there. It looks like he has grown a lot of business showing how to do a killer clone and has bought a lot of machinery to do it. I don't know if any of the other clone suppliers besides him have a flow bench.
