Default Cut to length pushrods

I got a set of cut to length pushrods coming I have no idea how to determine wat length I need on the Harley’s I always used adjustable ones made it easy anyway I’m sure there’s a thread on here somewhere but I have a VERY hard time finding stuff that I’m looking for on here the hemi 420 takes a 7 inch PR so either the tall deck on the 460 I wanted to b on the safe side and longer CTL PRs
I think their 7 1/2 in any help appreciated

It all depends on the type of rocker arms your using. I have roller rocker arms [NR and Gage] in both my 460's and used the cut to length push rods. I also have valves that are 100 thousandths taller so I bought a special adjustable engine builders push rod. I had to work out my valve geometry so the rollers would ride the center of the valves lash caps.

Still need a way to measure the length. The rockers are already setup -- you just need to know the length.

I don't mean to be rude but if your going to play engine builder -- there are no simple tasks and when your done you'll have an extensive tool box full of tools for the next build. I'm 65 years old and I'll never have enough tooling for building little engines.
Your building a custom 460 and everybody is watching in hopes it will open up a new door for increased performance. After you get 20 hours on your build -- I'm going to try it if I can find a hemi head.

I was a little less careful than Shepard and measured from the top of the old push rods thru the rocker arm to determine the length needed with vernier calipers.

Well thank u I’m playing engine builder here smh so I guess I’ll muddle my way thru it since I’ve been building engines for more years than I care to count it’s just something new and different and apparently no one has ever done before most of the work I’ve done on engines with hydrolic lifters so u have some leeway there
