Default EZGO Predator Swap- kill switch?

I'm getting close to firing up my cart and working in the last few details. I finished my exhaust(at least version 1.0)The predator has a grounded kill switch, but the cart has a 12v switch on accelerator pedal. I see two options. 1, add a second switch at the accelerator or 2, turn the idle down so low it won't idle when I'm off the gas pedal. I'm assuming the latter is the way to go. Please advise, thanks.

Or option 3 just add a separate kill switch. My VC 460 cart I use the low idle cut off and the 440 snowmobile engine uses an ignition switch. BUT both have an emergency kill switch in case all else fails.

There's a kill on the engine I can reroute to below the driver. Option 4 is add a relay controlled by the gas pedal switch that grounds out when de-energized. Aka, it opens the ground(kill) circuit when you're on the gas, then closes the kill circuit when you're not. Would use the existing switch.

I started with the bosch 5 pin relay as shown in the sticky with both carts. Later decided to simplify the systems to minimize potential electrical problems.

I'm thinking if I have the idle screw low enough, it will stall when I let off the gas anyway. Just got it started today. Seems to be running lean, I need to order some jets to dial it in. Looks like I can get an assortment from this place.

A far better solution is to use the adjustable main jet. I used NR racing unit but at times there are others vendors selling for less.On page #1 of my $650 VC 460 thread Aaron from VC shares a link for the EC carbs unit. One note there is since the kit is designed for the smaller clone don't switch the emulsion tube.

You read my mind. I was just logging in to ask about an adjustable main jet. Thanks!!

That listing is a bit confusing... the title says for GX390 but the description says GX200. Is it designed to cover a range wide enough for both. Mine's a 301, right in between.

That what I was trying to say. The listings are confusing but the same main jet fits all of them but not the emulsion tube is too small for the bigger engines fortunately the stock emulsion tube works fine.

I was looking at the VC 3 circuit carb, but that's listed for the 420/460's. I contacted VC, they don't make a smaller one. Is there a better carb than the stock one for my 301 or should I just use the adjustable jet and dial it in as best I can.
