Performance Mods for Predator 420cc

Any suggestions for mods to do to my motor? I have a predator 420cc going to be removing it to clean it up, removing the club car starter generator and adding the Honda 18amp charging coil. Governor is still intact, may remove that when I put it back in the cart. It does 23mph right now with tons of torque. I have Jakes 6” lift with 23” tires.

This is what the motor currently has done to it:

Machined Driven Clutch
Power spring in driven clutch
200 rpm stall spring in drive clutch
HD drive belt
35 lb HD valve springs
Chromoly pushrods - shortened to 6.440"
8 degree timing offset key
Nr racing 1.3:1 roller tip rockers
Vegas carts tune able carb
Open element air filter
1-1/4" stainless wrapped exhaust

Cylinder head porting,valve unshrouding with an adjustable main jet in the carb will increase power across the entire rpm band.The valve pockets have a whole lot of material to remove.

Cam will help it more than any other mod ,free flowing exhaust ,k & n type air cleaner also remove the governor

Been thinking about the 69mm stroker crank and the billet rod. Would have to turn down the piston .70-.100” any idea how much would need to be removed and get the compression ratio to around 10:1?

Contact Vegas Carts, they can sell you the kit with the correct piston for your engine.

Vegascarts does not sell the 90 mm piston you need for the 420 cc engine. NRracing does have these and I see right now they have slightly flawed aftermarket 90 mm pistons for $5. They sell both the Vegascarts and ARC billet rods along with the 69mm crankshaft.

When you open up the cases to remove the governor gear it would be a prime time to shim the end play in the crankshaft. You can get shims from ARC and I set my end play .005-.007. Here's a list of helpful information

Use a larger opening jet if you're running lean and a smaller one if you're running rich. This is a list of stock number sizes and opening diameter.
