air cleaner
can i use the air cleaner from a brigs on my preditor 420, it fits the carb but only has one hole between the bolts, all the small holes on the carb are blocked off it,s a metal box about 4 inches by 5 inches by about 2 inches thick

No - don't use any air filter system that would block any of the vent holes. Your engine needs to have those open to function properly.

You can use an airbox from a predator/duromax/whatever generator. That will give you the low profile airbox and not restrict anything.
