Duromax 16hp in EZGO TXT
I thought these shots might be of help to those thinking of the Duromax install. I really like it. Great low end and good top speed. Pretty easy install. I used the clutch from CPP for the 1" shaft. Added a vacuum port to run the fuel pump. And lost the stock muffler. Built one from an old Harley muffler. Adding a winch now. Love this thing.

Right on, Mike. Thanks again for getting those.
Another thing that surprises me is how much room you had in there to work with. I thought maybe you had a Workhorse & had to go back & check. I had it in my head that the Duramax was going to be considerably bigger than the stock engine, but maybe not. |

Yep, plenty of room. The lift is why though. The only thing that was close to rubbing was the stock muffler. It also pointed right at the plastic body!

Re: Duromax 16hp in EZGO TXT
Is it hard to get it to work like they do from the factory? ie Turn dash switch on and press pedal?
Or do you have to do anything on the engine itself under the seat before it'll go? |

Re: Duromax 16hp in EZGO TXT
Nope. This is a key switch to turn to start. I t comes with the electric start Duromax. I just added length to the wires and moved it to the dash. Just like your car.
