Most modern carts run at around 9 / 10 HP on the standard engine @ 3600 / 4000 RPM. That little sucker makes 7.5 HP @ 7500 RPM. I'll wager that at the RPM required to get a golf cart to say 20 mph that engine won't make much more than 3.5 - 4 HP. Never mind the torque required to haul a heavy cart, golf bags and passenger up a hill. I have my doubts. Perfect for a little go cart or mini bike though where weight doesn't come into the equation so much. Chris. |
