Default Fuel Pump Problems

I've gone through two fuel pumps on my 15hp Lifan in the past two weeks. The first started spewing fuel out of the back vent hole. Thought it was a bad diaphragm, so the company sent me a new one. Within 24 hours, the back of that one completely separated from the pump itself and puke gas everywhere. Any idea what could make that happen? For now, I've had to throw the stock fuel tank back on the motor. Here is the pump ive been using.

My guess is the pump is junk. Most use the one from B&S or the gokart guys use a small mikuni pump and say its the best. I'd try one of those, don't recall them being that expensive.

You could try putting a longer hose on the pulse to weaken the signal, the clone is a larger single they have fairly strong pulse.

The mikuni pump was going to be my next option. I think I saw it for $24 somewhere.

I'm sure the B&S pump part number is posted here someplace, either one should be able to get cheap on the net. Some of the gokart places are quite cheap. AGK says 24 for either one of theirs, one is a walbro. Always check amazon.
