If its a v twin you will need at least 3" lift . I put a 16 briggs in my club car without a lift ,but I changed the air cleaner, (made the height to about 1 1/2" above carb ) but it rubs the seat bottom. getting parts ready for a atv front end fab next on the list

You can with most carts but you likely will have to do more fabrication and get rid of any aircleaner/etc on top of the engine. You may have to drop the engine cradle lower to fit it even then, which could mean building a mostly new one.

I put a HF Honda clone in a CC without a lift...it looked as though the 16hp would fit. These are a low profile engine.

The v twin put the carb and airbox between the V, have to lower the engine until it clears. The clone is very low once you remove any airbox or muffler that is above the engine. They have good power but don't rev hard stock, you can mod them.
