Is there a check list for the big block swap?
Alright I got my workhorse running last week and want to swap the engine this week!! There is a 23 hp vanguard that looks like a sweet deal for 1200 plus shipping and the engine cradle from carts plus looks like the way to go. What else will I need to do or get to make this swap happen. Will the stock rear end still work on this? Its a 4 stroke rear end so the reverse should be no issue? My fab tools/skills are limited. I just dont want to get in over my head again and kill my wallet on this project. What should a country boy do?

1 engine mounting/engine fit
2 Clutch adapter/fit 3 Starter Gen or swap to key start. 4 Clutch belt length alignment, part of engine fitment 5 throttle cable 6 clutch cable 7 Charging system 8 airfilter/airbox fitment 9 Exhaust and muffler 10 wiring 11 oil and filter change with engine mounted?? 12 Brakes (more power/rpm and weight often should have larger brakes) 13 Fuel pump/pulse line fitting/return line/filter |

When it is all said and done the complete BB kit from CPP is a better deal for most people, especially if you need help engineering the throttle and exhaust etc,etc,etc!
