Default Air Filter Hook Up

Hey everybody. I started a duromax build last year. I lost interest during the winter because I don't have anywhere inside to work on it. I got it most of the way finished last year, so now I'm trying to finish up the last few things then break it down for paint.

I've run into a problem with the air filter. I don't have enough clearance to run one straight off the carb. I've been reading the write ups on affordablegokarts.com about making a 90 degree manifold to move the carb. I don't want to move the carb because I'm scare it will bounce too much off road. I'm thing about turning the air filter 90 degrees. I'm looking at the adapter that bolts on to the end of the carb. Put a 2 7/6 radiator hose and then put the air filter on the end of that. My question is will the radiator hose support the filter? It's going to be used for hunting, not a lot of trails and stuff but it could get a little rough.

I'm looking for my build thread so y'all can see some pictures.

Anything I order here from the other side of CO takes a while to make it over those mountains. I was told a lot of it is air mail, they just wait until there is extra room.

Which air filter does it have? The one above the carb you can cut the G2/9 hose and use the 90 degree part to connect a pvc pipe to your remove air filter box. One guy just stuck a K&N on the end of the pvc. If you have the type on the end of the carb then you may have to get a kit with a hose. You may have to make a bracket to hold the airfilter at end of hose if it moves.
