Default Duromax Club Car Drive Belt (Help Needed)

I have the following: club car stock driven clutch, club car stock centr. clutch, duromax 16hp, stock frame and cc trans axel.

Can any one please tell me what belt I need to purchase SO THE CLONE ENGINE WILL NOT MAKE CONTACT WITH THE TRANSAXEL? THE STOCK BELT IS TOO SHORT. THANKS

I used the same one "carguymn" sent you the link too. Fits find, this belt will grip way more than the stock one did. I had to run more slack on this belt than the other one to keep the cart from creeping at idle. If you are also doing a lift at the same time as installing the duromax you are most likely flipping the motor mount plate on the swing arm to get the correct angle on the motor for proper oiling. By doing this the starter will be very close to the transmission but is not a problem being you will need to run more slack in the belt anyway.

nujac, Thanks for the help.

Currently, I am pulling my hair out because I cannot mount the motor in the engine crate. I reviewed you pictures and I intend to use your design.

Lastly, do you have any tips and/or specific instructions on building the motor mounts and/or proper belt alignment?

The motor plate came from the factory with small rubber mounts. I ditched the rubber mounts because I did not thing they are needed. The Duromax comes with a counter balance weight build into the motor to limit the vibrations. I was able to mount the plate directly to the swing arm with bolts. I did not weld it just in case I needed to move it in the future. To align the pulleys, motor, and motor plate just place everything together and get a straight edge and make sure the belts go right down the middle of both pulleys. Once you do this move your motor back or forward till you get the correct slack. After this is done take a black marker and trace out your motor holes and motor plate to swing arm holes. I think only one or two slots ended up where I needed them. I did a lift so I had to flip the motor plate to keep the motor level. Once you figure out where the holes go you will need to make a slot to move the motor back and forth for proper belt tension.

If you are not lifting the cart I do not know how the motor plate will line up you will just have to lay everything out to see if it all fits and can be placed in a straight line. Others on the forum have done it without a lift so you will just need to look around to see what they did.
