Default What Carb to replace stock clone

I have come to the conclusion that the stock carb on the Duromax clone is junk. What Mikuni carb do i need to look for or is there a stock bolt on that might work better (idle, and control hookups). I dont need a racing one from the go cart guys but I would like to find something budget on ebay. TIA

Kei hin from a stock Honda is going to be your best option the mikuni's are known to be a tuning nightmare. They run good once setup right but getting them there is another story. Easiest will be a tilloston but there pricey and really not necessary on a stock setup. Have you tried jetting the stock carb? The clones are known to be quite lean for emissions purposes. A lot recommend going up one size on the pilot jet and starting with a 102 main jet. The oem Honda carbs also have adjustable air mixture needles. Some of the clones are set from the factory and capped off. Hope this helps.

I hogged out my main on the clone a long way to get it running right WOT with a car airbox and muffler but otherwise stock. Then I took the plug out for the idle mix and had to cut a notch in it then heat it to get out. I bought a carb kit in ebay for a couple bucks with a new one in it. This new clone I am putting in now had a screw under a plug I drilled out, much nicer. But yeah the first clone still is not right I went leaner on the main and it still wants to get rich at about 1/8 throttle and I can't get rid of it. 1/4 to WOT is fine as is the idle.

You can buy klein copies I was thinking of that, but have to fab up a manifold and why I don't have one on there yet. IIRC the intake spacer is 24mm hole. Look in my clone thread in yamaha I talk about the carb some.
