Default Pulling the trigger on upgrades

ok...the cooler weather has given me the fever to do some upgrades to my Predator 212. I removed the governor already. Found a shop 3 miles from my house that stocks all the goodies. Looking at aluminum flywheel, exhaust header/free flow muffler, high flow air filter w/adapter, & 18 lb. valve springs. Thinking of using a 3 gallon boat fuel tank and a pulse fuel pump and ditching the stock tank. I have plenty of room next to the engine for that. My wife is gonna kill me

Ha Ha. I'm getting off work early today to go by and pick everything up so hopefully I can get some of it done this weekend. Not sure how much I will get to though. Trying to help my youngest finish packing for her move to Texas. I did buy a gas tank yesterday (3 gal) from Academy Sports. It's made for a boat and already has the input nozzle in the top for the hose.

Woohoo...got the billet flywheel on this afternoon. (didn't feel much lighter than the stock one though) Also took the time to stuff a little steel wool into the muffler to quieten it down just a bit and drilled the main carb jet so it would run without bogging down. Can't wait to take it for a spin tomorrow.

It's an RLV or RVL something like that. Basically an open muffler. The steel helped some.

Wow... extra super fine steel wool was not the right choice to stuff the muffler with. I'll have to go to the hardware store and look for extra course. The fine just shrunk to about 1/4 the size of what I stuffed in there. Guess I should have figured that but that was all I had in my shop.
