Predator parts
Found a new site, NR Racing out of Detroit,Mi. They carry performance parts for the 346cc and 420cc Predators. Cams, valves, springs, rocker arms, etc. plus hop up kits and whole HP motors. Well worth a look.

Re: Predator parts
I got lucky here in GA. The local small engine repair shop down the road (one of the idiots in the lawnmower racing u-tube video in my other post) carried all my parts for the 212cc even though he referred to it as the "tiny" motor.

Re: Predator parts
I talked to Russel yesterday and he is very helpful and knowledgeable. Got some good info from him on my motor build.
I've had a hard time getting any response from AGK. I had sent them an e-mail and got a reply several days later. I have since e-mailed them and called twice to see about getting my head milled and gotten no response. I'm sure they are a great business and people have had good service. I just haven't had much luck. |

Re: Predator parts
If you really can't find a place to do your head I can tell you of one here that does a racing lawnmower team for a dealer. But I don't know if he does mail business as a normal thing you'd have to ask. I ended up dropping over a 100 on my head but he ported it really nicely in addition to cutting .050 off it. I thought I said clean the ports up lol, but he did a great job on it, just be careful what you say. He mostly does car and boat engines.
I had the same thing AGK will eventually mail you back and are nice guys, just not that fast. NR seems nice and has a nice store full of stuff to buy lol. Guy at precision cams was nice too though I didn't cam this engine yet. |

Re: Predator parts
sho, I found a local guy not far from me that has been doing dirt bike and snowmobile engines for about 25 years. He does everything. Took my head over to him yesterday and he said he'd get on it and that I could get it back today, $35. Can't beat the price and the guy is great to talk to. He can talk motors, etc all day. Will see about having him cut new valve seats so I can install larger valves. Since I have the motor down I'm looking at doing the works, billet rod, valves and springs, cam, rockers and rods, etc. Cart won't be on the road till next spring anyway so I've got the time to do it.

Re: Predator parts
That is cool, be sure to keep us up to date on the mods. I would like to but where the cart is and use it gets I have to keep this one reliable. Trying to get hold of another to play with at home just no time this year...again.

Why is it that work always gets in the way of having fun.
