Default Duro-Max Engine Swap

I have a 1991 club car. Has anyone tried a swap for this engine?
duro-max xp 16 hp If so, what difficulties did you have? You can see this engine on ebay-listing number 120929327693 . I'm new so I can't post a link.I would truly appreciate any advice. I am new to golf carts but am very excited about getting started. I bought my club car already lifted and with nice wheels and tires. Problem is that it is smoking pretty bad so I would like to replace the engine or get it rebuilt. To rebuild around here is extremely high.
Thanks,

Ive done it twice and I am partial to Club Cars. Its a very straight forward swap and IMO the Club Car is the best platform for it.

You will need to make a custom motor mount and exhaust system. I can post pics of my setup if you want.

Just installed the Parsons cam, mod list is in the video. Very happy with the performance so far, however, Iam very disappointed in the starting properties:

Parsons removed alot of material off the base circle of the cam but they didnt remove the same amount from the compression release. Thus, Its impossible to start without adding a ton of lash to the exhaust valve. Torque feels like 10% improvement over stock and from about 4000-6400 its a 30-40% improvement in acceleration. Still tuning so there will be more gains.

I think the CV Carb will be a HUGE improvement over the bored stock carb and Iam really itching to get the manifold done so I can get that bad boy mounted and post some driving videos!

New MPH record 38mph @ 6400 on stock rods and flywheel without an issue.

More vids to come!

UPDATE: Bent down the compression release to stock specs and re-installed. Engine now starts instantly and runs very strong on the top end. Im going to mess around with the lash and jetting and once I get it dialed in, Ill post another video.

Likewise, my Partner and I feel that this is the perfect cam for the 420cc clone in a golf cart application. Therefore, we will be selling the NR-Racing 280 TQ cam and testing out the 306-TQ cam once we get the parsons cam dialed in with the big 30mm cvk carb.
