Default G9 duromax 16hp build

Hey guys I recently joined this site while looking for more info on installing a duromax 16hp motor in my yamaha g9. I have done a lot of searching throughout the forums but would like someone to point me in the right direction and answer some of my questions.
The questions are:
1) Will CPP's clone engine mounting bracket fit the duromax 16hp?
2) Does anything need to be done to the shaft for me to use the stock clutch?
3) Can i use the exhaust that comes with the duromax without any modifications?
4) Lastly, What do you guys do about reverse?
Sorry for the all the questions, my g9's engine isn't doing well anymore and is need for an upgrade. I race and work on my motocross bike and atv so I understand quite a bit about motors. I personally do not weld but I have a friend that can but would like to do the least about of welding possible.
Thanks again
-Nick

I haven't done the swap yet but from what I've read on here I'll take a shot at answering some of your questions and then let the pro's correct me.
1) Not sure
2) You'll have to cut it, tap it and get a taper adapter for the stock clutch
3) The engine exhaust should work but I would personally worry about heat and fumes
4) If it's the original G9 transaxle it has reverse in it

Hope tha helps but like I said the pro's should be along to set me straight on anything I missed.

Ok thanks. Do you know where I can find the exact measurements on how much to cut off the shaft and what size hole I should tap etc...
Thanks again.

If you take a look at this thread they have a lot of good info on the swaps and starting at about post #20 they are talking about how much to cut.

Lots to read but lots of good info.

You have to cut as much as you can on a G9 or the recoil will hit the gas tank. Max is 1 1/8" of crank to put the clutch on, that is the 1" diameter part of the crank. The adapter is 1" long and you can have at most 1/8 excess crank sticking out of adapter or it can hit inside the clutch. It is not hard to cut, maybe tapping it is hard if you are not practiced at that. It could be cut with a hacksaw I just used an air grinder because I had one and its fun.

You have to ask CPP about a mount, but all the clones are the same from what I see. Most all honda parts interchange.

The muffler stock might set the seat on fire, but sure you can use it. Some make a new pipe is all to relocate it. Unless you mount the engine much different than I did, as I use the stock size belt and stock generator/belt on its stock mount. Any lower and the cylinder hits the transmission, even there I can just fit a rubber hose over the engine to the carb and the frame hits it when the rear suspension compresses. This cart is lifted with 22s on it.

I have photos posted in both my Clone into G9 threads, the first is in yamaha the second in clones section.

Thanks Sho! What size tap do I use? I guess I will end up making my own exhaust, sho where did you get that muffler on your build? Also did you buy a different fuel pump when you installed your clone? Im pretty sure I want to use the carts gas tank, mostly because how big it is. But is it possible to use the clones air cleaner? Or is it better to use the carts and route piping like you did.
Thanks again.
