Default Mikuni carb upgrade questions

Faster carter and sho305 and anyone else,

I have a mikuni knockoff ?30 mm carb that fits a Honda recon atv. The throttle cable fits into the top and connects to I think the main needle(haven't looked at it in a few weeks). How do you connect your throttle cable to this main needle or if its not the needle, whatever it is that the cable connects to?

Below is a list for the same carb on ebay

I looked at the Honda recon cables on google images they have a pressed on piece on both ends that fit in slots either in the carb or on the handle. I guess I would have to get a recon cable and reverse engineer it to work with the club car throttle mechanism?

If you do this start at a large outdoor equipment repair shop.
They will have cables, sheaths and ball ends to make up what you need.
With the parts you can do it.

You can get a little thing that crimps on a cable for that, but I have no idea where. Many years ago I put in cruise controls on cars and they came with a cable you made up, it was simple. Usually the issue is getting it jetted right.

There are soo many options its hard to recommend one, however, your best bet might be to make your own throttle cable.

Go to Jegs.com and look around.

There are cables on ebay for certain carbs pretty cheap, but it can take some searching to find them. Lot of the guys selling the clone carbs have the cables too.
