As long as you have a reversable rear end (4 stroke) then the clone will fit with plenty of room to spare.

However, I thought all marathons had 2 strokes.

If you have a 4 stroke trans it has a F/R shifter, otherwise you don't have reverse usually. Most all have same rotation except some CC carts the engine has reverse rotation from normal which is CCW at the PTO end. Use the adapter from CPP to fit a stock taper clutch to the clone (or other 1" lawn engine) crank. You may have to shorten the crank depending on how much room you have but its not hard to cut.

Then you need intake air box/filter, exhaust plumbing/muffler, you can wire a lawn key switch to kill engine or use a relay depending on your wiring system/type. Usually you use the stock gen to start it or you get an elec start clone and use that. Problem there is any clone I've seen is only 3A charging, not very much.

Some people use the stock airbox even muffler, some just add a pipe to move the muffler away and lower. I used a car airbox and piped it to the front for clean air, had a custom header made at RTT and used a car muffler on it. Depends on how in depth you get lol.
