13HP motor Swap

We are trying to put a 13hp honda motor on our EZ GO golf cart. We are needing a belt clutch for the motor. Anyone have any ideas or know where we can get one?

Check out my build I used the stock belt and clutch it works great my son and nephews have not let it rest since I completed it. Good luck you won't be disappointed.

did you use the stock belt or did you have to get a bigger one? We started our build this weekend and we found out we dont think the stock belt is going to work. Also do you know if there is a conversion kit out that we could maybe buy?

I used the stock belt on both the clutch and the starter I had to raise the engine in the bay about 2 1/2 inches to move it back over the rear end but its still stock height no lift. Geoff on this site has put together a bolt in kit including the engine I really don't know the details but I have seen many of his post post.http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=79340

You can use the adapter sold by cartpartsplus to fit a taper stock clutch to a 1" shaft engine. You have to place it same distance away and same offset as stock and can use stock size belt. For 1 3/16 belt there are many sizes so you can move it closer/away if you need to. CPP also has clutches for 1" shaft or taper, but 1" clutches don't have the starter/get pulley on them. Other people sell clutches too, just be aware of what you need. The clones do not charge only 3A I'm told you can put another coil in for 6A. Geoff at vegas carts is trying to get a kit for 18A charge. Stock gen does 15A charge. Anyway 3A charge most people have to charge the battery once in a while it can't keep up. Check out other threads in here about swaps. Geoff is trying to make clone kits has some done, most other kits are for v twins and those engine mounts might work with some adjusting not sure.
