Started prepping for my clone swap
Finally got the time to start tearing down the EZGO. Got the body off and electrical out of the way. Finished up with pulling the motor, cradle and rear end. Not as simple as I thought thanks to the forward/reverse cable and rear brake cable routing. Some ones brilliant idea to run one of each under the motor between it and the engine cradle. Now all I need is the clones to come back in stock, for now I will focus on the three link rear end I am starting to build.

Re: Started prepping for my clone swap
I am waiting on the new 440cc from Geoff. Trying to stay patient and keep myself busy with the hundred other things I want to get done on it. I am hoping for one of Geoff's 30hp recipes, just need them to become available.

I will, I wish I had documented the paint process on this one too. A lot of work went in to it, we painted tree times before we got something I liked. I have a new outlook on painting/painters. It is work! Not fun at all, at least not until the end.

Re: Started prepping for my clone swap
Just got off the phone with Geoff, ordered the cradle kit from him. I will post some pics when it comes in. Having this part will make the three link fabrication go 100% easier. Really excited about this, I can finally get some work done on it!

Re: Started prepping for my clone swap
That's awesome! Did you end up ordering the kit without the starter/ generator mount? Cant wait till you get it and post up some pics, because I'm going to be right behind you!

Yep, got the one without the generator mount. Geoff said that is actually a bolt on addition if I understood what he was trying to explain to me. It does have adjustable motor mounts so that will be a plus.

Re: Started prepping for my clone swap
If you don't mind me asking, what was the price without the generator mount? I assume you bought the cradle and his exhaust pipe and muffler.....
