Re: Champion 439cc motor?
Yep, they are REALLLY GOOD engines, unfortunately, they only come with 1:5 tapered generator shafts and Champion forges their own crankshafts so no other clone cranks will fit... They are 90x69 vs 92x66 (My 440s).
I must say, Champions quality is cream of the crop for Chinese stuff....We are a service center for their generators and rarely see any problems. |

Re: Champion 439cc motor?
Champion 439cc was running 8hrs straight for 3 days in 99+ heat temp. with no wind. I read the hourmeter and had 1189 on it. still running strong. I really doubt I initiate that much punishment on my motor other than the shock and added vibration of being thrown around off-road. I feel good about these motors so far.

The clone engines really are strong and reliable engines.
The only parts that I feel are inadequate are the starters and charging systems...which is why I focused on used the OEM starter/gens to overcome this problem. |

Re: Champion 439cc motor?
Pretty sure Champions are one of the favorites of the gokart crew, far as brands. I hate the carb but mine (a Lifan) has been pretty good so far. Will have to wait and see what happens with a larger MC type carb with my fabricated intake I have yet to make.
