Default club car 440 clone fuel pump pulse

I have a vegas carts clone in a club car, I drilled and put in a barb in the valve cover for the fuel pump pulse but wasnt getting enough pulse. I covered the hole that was already in the vavle cover and now I have plenty of pulse. Does anybody see any problems with covering the hole that was originally in it permantly?

Did you go through both layers of the valve cover?

You need to have some kind of vent on there. As the motor breaks in you will get more blow-by and more of a pules but you need to have some kind of vent or you can blow out a seal or blow out your pump. You could get the stock pcv hose and get a small piece of vacuum tube that can fit inside to act as a restrictor. Then as the engine breaks in you could remove it.

I had a vent plug up on my mower and it blew the top crank seal out because of the pressure build up.

The cover has a lower and upper chamber in it with a valve between. You need to be in the lower part open to the engine. The upper part vents out the hose after the valve, which appears to just be a one way valve so air can't go back in. Not a good idea to plug it off.

You need to drill through the valvecover completely....I can make one for you if you like. They can be tricky at times since there isnt much to tap into and it has to be in the right spot.

If you plug the vent, youll need crankcase seals soon.

I drilled all the way through the valve cover and put a piece of 1/4" fuel line through the holes then hooked the other end up to the fuel pump. The hardest part was getting the fuel line through since the hole were snug. I also ran a regulator so that I don't get too much fuel. It seems to be working well.

I will try to remember tonight to take a pic. But don't be too mad if I forget, I'm leaving for hunting in the morning so I will be very busy packing.
