Default Clone Intake help?

I have two projects going on now. Finished up the EZ-GO to clone conversion and the G-9 old stock clone carb Mikuni switch over in both. Finally I figured out how and where to mount the carbs so they wont fall off. What I need now is a good intake idea. I have a flex radiator hose with the steel inside for the Yamaha but it has too tight a bend. On the EZ-GO I have a non inserted steel hose hooked up but it collapses. Weird it runs good though at least for the short time I ran it. If anybody has a better idea for the intakes let me know!! I think some sort of real flexible hose would be the ticket?
One more with the Mikuni's ( motorcycle carbs ) the clones run a ton better all the way through the acceleration range. But the problem I still have is getting a big enough mechanicle advantage to completely open up the carbs. The throw on the stock cart gas pedal is too short. Even sawing off the stop on the pedal ( Yamaha ) I have used levers pulling on the short side and having the long side pulling the carb cable but its never enough even with no slack. Anybody got a better idea for a mechanicle advantage for the Mikuni carbs? Bell Crank?? I think I would need about a 4 to 1 ratio

This is what I did when I put a Mikuni on my 89 EZGO. You can make any ratio you want. 4:1 sounds really high. Mine was about 1.5:1. Primitive, but it worked.
