Default Help GX 390 Build now problems

I recently built a new EZ-go with a HONDA GX 390 I put it in stock went pretty smooth was using the stock GX390 gas tank when I first put it in. I recently pulled the motor out and installed the H.D springs and an 8 deg timing key, from vegas carts I also installed one of there Tuned carbs. When I put the motor back in I was trying to use the stock gas tank from the cart. My cart was missing the stock fuel pump so I bought a go kart Walbro pump. Once I got the motor back in it started up and flooded immediately the pump was pushing way to much fuel, I switch back to a gravity fed pump it ran and sounded great. I tried yesterday to get the fuel pump tuned in and it flooded again then would not start tried everything with no luck. When I pulled the carb off the choke flap fell out of the air filter and no signs of the other piece of plastic that holds it in. I did find some pieces of looks like plastic in the muffler but even after I put it back together still no luck of starting. I have no Idea what to do now other than pull the head and hope for the best

I dont have a clue about your broken parts but I did have the same problem as you a few days ago with the flooding issue. I spoke with a guy at bmi karts and he said when this happens they put about a 1" piece of smaller tube in the pulse line near the pump to reduce the pulse pressure. He said if that doesn't slow it up enough to put another small piece in the pulse hose near the port.

yeah its kind of strange, its a brand new carb I guess I need to call the vendor. I just hope the plastic piece going in the motor didn't cause any damage. Im going to reclean the carb tonight hopefully she fires back up. If you put a T before the carb and run the other lineback to the tank it should stop your flooding

I would do a return line from the carb feed line to the tank, this will eliminate the flooding.

Is the carb made for gravity feed, or a pump. The float needles are different to handle the pressure of the pump-vs-gravity.

Its a Chinese gx390 carb thats just rejetted. Can you still get spark with a bad coil? Thats the only other thing I can thank that can be wrong. The carb is clean I fixed the choke with parts from the old carb I had. It ran great two days ago

Hate to say this but, 3 things make it run. Spark, fuel, and compression. You have checked spark and fuel. Try checking compression. I hope its good. Hopefully the broke off parts didn't hurt anything. Try pouring some gas right in carb. Just my 2 cents. Hope you get it figured out.
