Default oil pressure sensor

So I started my 420 upgrades, I had the crank cover off and removed the governor gear but left the oil sensor in the bottom. Should I re-open and remove that sensor before I get some run time on it? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I just disconnected mine and left it in there. It wont hurt aything
